At Dimensional Insight, we’re all about blending data with personality—and no one does that better than Rachel Donais. As a Project Manager with a special focus on our BeverageLink service, Rachel helps transform raw distributor data into big-picture insights for suppliers. From juggling custom reports to launching new customer installs, she keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. We caught up with her to learn more about her role, her path to DI, and a few fun facts (spoiler: Finland and giant carrots are involved).

Q: Can you tell me a bit about what you do here?

My title is Project Manager. In addition to managing projects, I also focus on our BeverageLink service. BeverageLink is a service that collects data from distributors, then consolidates it and transfers it to Suppliers so they can view the reporting at the big picture level.

Q: How did your career path lead you to Dimensional Insight?

Before Dimensional Insight, I spent a lot of time doing Marketing and Market Research for Tech companies. Although I loved what I did, It was time for a change. Dimensional Insight was that change.

Q: What types of projects do you typically oversee, and what’s your day-to-day like?

I do a lot of work with the BeverageLink team: coordinating new distributor reporting, custom reporting requests and new features. I also oversee new customer installations and custom reporting requested by InterReport designated SaaS customers.

Q: What’s the biggest challenge you face as a project manager—and how do you handle it?

Allocating people’s time to get the most done. I focus on each teammate’s knowledge and skill sets to divide and conquer what needs to get done. I also promote collaboration across the team. When someone gets stuck, asking for help is promoted.

Q: What’s one thing you’ve learned in this role that you wish you’d known earlier in your career?

How much I enjoy collaborating with others.

Q: What’s a fun fact about you that might surprise your coworkers?

I lived in Finland for a while. Finland is near the north pole, so they have extended periods where the days are short. Summers can have 19 hours of sunlight and winters can have 6 hours of sunlight. The extended sunlight produces the largest and brightest orange carrots that I ever saw. They tasted delicious.

Q: When you’re not managing projects, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy learning about new technologies and doing yoga.

From mastering team collaboration to exploring tech and perfecting her yoga poses, Rachel brings energy, curiosity, and leadership to everything she does. Her ability to manage moving parts while keeping things human makes her an invaluable part of the Dimensional Insight team. It’s people like Rachel who help bring our mission—empowering better decisions—to life, one thoughtful project at a time.
