Leveraging SDOH Data is Easier than You Think

About the Recording

Join Dimensional Insight’s healthcare experts for a virtual presentation on innovative approaches for incorporating information on social determinants of health (SDOH) into population health datasets.

The Census Bureau’s American Community Survey includes very specific and reliable information on social determinants, such as housing, income, employment, and access to transportation. You can get this information down to the neighborhood level to enhance your pop health efforts.

In this recording, we’ll discuss the concept of a social deprivation index, which can be used to distill multiple SDOH factors to a single number to help with preliminary analysis and investigation. We’ll also show how “insight rich” SDOH data can be combined with individual-level population datasets to provide additional perspective for segmenting populations, targeting interventions, and measuring the impact of outcomes improvement efforts.
