About Reports

You can view data in a dive window in report format by clicking the Report icon on the toolbar or selecting Display > Report on the menu bar. This opens the Default Report dialog box, which provides configuration options that enable you to customize the look and feel, the report that you can print and distribute as needed.

Based on the type of display in the final dive window, ProDiver offers one or more default report styles that combine the data from the current dive with a set of customized formatting options that enable you to enhance the appearance of the underlying tabular data.

Think of the default report style options as ProDiver suggestions on where to begin further report modifications. In many cases, you can decide to accept a default style without making further changes.

NOTE: When you click the Report icon, if the final dive window is a graph, ProDiver converts the underlying tabular data to a report.

In some cases, the default ProDiver report styles are sufficient for reporting needs. However, ProDiver provides additional reporting features that allow you to tailor the report style.

Use the options available to customize the look and feel of your report data by defining the following:

  • Additional display clarity and focus
  • Replicate the look and feel of familiar legacy reports
  • Exception reporting ranges
  • Time series
  • Period comparison
  • Period values
  • Customizations (additional formatting, variables, graphics, and links)

After you finish configuring a dive window in report view, you can save its attributes as a template for future use by selecting File > Save Report Template.
