Sync vs Sync Files

A DiveTab application’s content is kept current by synchronizing the content stored on the DiveTab user’s device with the content stored on the server. The date of the last Sync is displayed in the lower left of the user’s screen. This synchronization process enables offline work.

When using a DiveTab application with an internet connection, select Sync from the lower left to initiate the synchronization process and display a small field to track the Sync’s progress. Certain data and other content such as documents and images, are updated on the device depending on changes that have occurred on the central server. When constructing the DiveTab application, a preload tag can be used to tell the DiveTab client what data to cache.

Repository pages in DiveTab have an additional Sync Files button to selectively download files from the repository on the server.
