Adding a Column to a Measures Portlet

Use the Edit Measures Portlet wizard to add a column to a measures portlet.

There are different options, depending on the type of column that you want to add, and where you want to place the new column.

Adding a column to the right of the existing columns.

To add a dimension column, text column, indicator column, or column group:

Browse to the page that contains the portlet that you want to edit.
On the DivePort toolbar, click Edit to unlock the page and enable edit mode.
Right-click the measures portlet that you want to edit, and then on the context menu, click Edit.

The Edit Measures Portlet wizard opens.
In the Columns box, click Add.
On the context menu, select the type of column you want to add.

The wizard advances to the next page.
Continue with the wizard, entering options as you like.
When you are done, on the toolbar, click Save to save your changes and exit edit mode.

The new column is added to the right of the existing columns.

Adding a column or column group to the left of an existing column

To insert a dimension column, text column, indicator column, or column group:

Browse to the page that contains the portlet that you want to edit.
On the DivePort toolbar, click Edit to unlock the page and enable edit mode.
Right-click the measures portlet that you want to edit, and then on the context menu, click Edit.

The Edit Measures Portlet wizard opens.
In the Columns box, select the column that you want to follow the new column, and select the insert chevron.
On the context menu, select the type of column or column group you want to insert.

The wizard advances to the next page.
Continue with the wizard, entering options as you like.
When you are done, on the toolbar, click Save to save your changes and exit edit mode.

The new column or column group appears to the left of the selected existing column.

Adding a duplicate column

Available in DivePort 7.1(26) and later.

If you want to create a measures portlet that has multiple columns that are the same except for a few attributes, you can duplicate a text or indicator column, and then edit the attributes on the new column.

Browse to the page that contains the portlet that you want to edit.
On the DivePort toolbar, click Edit to unlock the page and enable edit mode.
Right-click the measures portlet that you want to edit, and then on the context menu, click Edit.

The Edit Measures Portlet wizard opens.
In the Columns box, select the column that you want to copy, and select the insert chevron.
On the context menu, select Duplicate this column.

A copy of the column is added to the portlet.
Select the copy, and click the Edit this column icon.
Continue with the wizard and edit the attributes as you like.
When you are done, on the toolbar, click Save to save your changes and exit edit mode.

The following measures portlet has a duplicate Revenue column. The first instance shows revenue data as text and the second instance shows the revenue data as an alert indicator.
