About Input Table Forms

When you add or edit a row in an input table, DivePort presents a default Closedform to collect data for each column that is defined in the table settings. The form can show red asterisks to indicate required information and use input tools, such as a calendar picker or a pull-down list.

Table editor, add a row dialog box showing a form with entries matching the table headings.

DivePort validates the form and reports errors to you.

If you have a form portlet license, you can specify a special form portlet type, which allows you to display the form on a DivePort page. You can customize the presentation with a label, background image, fixed text, and read-only columns. You can control manual placement and sizing of input areas. This is in addition to the basic form-related functionality that is included in the table editor license.

NOTE: Forms are for controlling input. They are not used to display content.
