What is atlcfg.cfg?

Before Workbench, the atlcfg.cfg file, which is created during the DiveLine server installation, stored all of the DiveLine configuration settings. The atlcfg.cfg file stored basic settings determined at the time of installation (such as the server name, and the administrator's username and password) plus all information entered by using the DI-Config application (such as aliases, authentication scheme, security level, users, and groups). The atlcfg.cfg file also captured edits performed by using the dicfg command line utility.

With the introduction of Workbench, the Server Settings functionality now updates atlcfg.cfg with all configuration settings. There is one exception—items set on the Workbench Server Settings >Advanced tab are saved to a new file: path_overrides.cfg.

If the DI-Config and dicfg tools are used for 7.x, updates are still posted to the atlcfg.cfg file.

NOTE: The atlcfg.cfg file is an advanced DiveLine topic. Hand-editing the file is not recommended. This section is for reference purposes only.
