Sessions Overview

A Workbench session is whatever is open at the moment when you create it. This may consist of multiple connections that have one or more projects open, as well as tabs displaying multiple files. When you save a Workbench session, you are saving the current Workbench state. Similarly, when you open a saved Workbench session, you are restoring that captured interface state so you can resume working where you left off.

NOTE: When you save or load a Workbench session, you are prompted with a Select Session dialog box where you can refine what projects and files are either saved or loaded.

The saving and loading of Workbench sessions can be used to quickly return to a previous workspace, including logging into the connection and loading the files you were last working on. You may find this useful if you have a set of project files that need frequent attention, or you need to abruptly suspend your work for the day.

See Working with Workbench Sessions for information about saving, loading, and deleting sessions in Workbench.
