Creating a Period Comparison
In this demonstration, you'll learn how to create a period comparison in ProDiver to analyze data from two different time periods. Imagine you're a wine and beverage distributor, and you want to compare the current revenue with the revenue from the same period in the previous year. To achieve this, you'll use the period comparison tool. First, you select your time dimension (for example, ship date) and choose a period comparison type (for example, year to date versus last year to date). Then, you select the data column (for example, revenue) to compare and decide which types of period comparison columns you want to display, such as year-to-date values, last year's values, delta, and percent change. ProDiver presents these columns in your dive window, allowing you to analyze and compare the data.
