Saving a Dive

In this demonstration, you'll learn how to save information about a dive in ProDiver, enabling you to easily and quickly repeat the same dive or a similar one in the future. For example, you might want to know the names of customers who purchased blueberries from Donnie Gillespie in the month of August. To address such questions, you can dive on relevant dimensions such as salesperson, commodity, shipment, and customer. However, for recurring dives -- for example, to check Donnie Gillespie's current customer list weekly -- you can save all the dive steps in a marker file. A marker file records the specific steps taken during a dive without storing actual data, ensuring that when you open it in the future, ProDiver reproduces the dive steps using up-to-date data.
