What Is a User Defined Dimension?

A user defined dimension (UDD) is a dimension that you create from a tabular window. UDDs are associated with an existing dimension and can be added to the dive window as a column.

NOTE: The dive window can display only one UDD column.

You can specify values for the new column cells. Cell values that you do not define can be added later, and can display a placeholder value until that time.

The UDD is usable for the rest of the session, and you can save it in a DivePlan or marker file for future use.

NOTE: You must commit the UDD before you can save it in a DivePlan or marker file.
