What Is a Dimension?

A dimension is a collection of data that can be used for analysis. It is a component in a cBase or model. You can use dimensions to sort or filter data to find the answers to your business questions. You dive on a dimension to view more details about its contents. By selecting different dimensions, you can view the data from different perspectives.

On the Console, a diveable dimension appears with a down-arrow to the left of its name.

A model can have up to 32 dimensions. However, cBases do not have this restriction.
