Synchronizing Chart Portlets with Measures Portlets

Measures portlets have an optional Allow Dimension Changing feature that allows users you to change the dimension that displays.

In DivePort 7.1(15), the option to Synchronize dimensions with other portlets was added to some chart portlets.

These two options work together on a DivePort page. When both options are enabled and a user changes the dimension that displays on the measures portlet, the chart portlet updates to display the selected dimension as well.

NOTE: The following conditions must be met:

• Both portlets must display the same dimension before the change.

• The new dimension must be available in the data source of both portlets.

The following video shows a how it works a the measures portlet. In it, changing the dimension from Product Family to Sales Region in the left column also updates the vertical chart.
