Requesting a New Password

DivePort portals with OWN authentication can be configured in Workbench to allow users to request a new password. A Forgot your Password? link appears in the Logon Portlet.

Users who click the link are Closedprompted to enter their Username, and then click OK to request that their password is reset. If the portal uses OWN authentication and that username has an associated email address, the user is sent a message containing a link to a one-time password. After they log on, they are prompted to reset their password.

NOTES:

  • DivePort uses the DiveLine Production Service component to send email.
  • Configuration of this feature allows for emails without the portal URL or username.
  • If the browser populates the Username box, and the OK button is disabled, press Enter.
