What Are Stamp Portlets?

A stamp is a template that defines a collection of portlets and presents them in a predetermined layout similar in appearance to a dashboard. Stamp dashboards provide context for interpreting Measure Factory measures.

Each of the Measure Factory applications include a set of stamps that are designed to display relevant KPIs. In addition, developers can create custom stamps and store their layout and style in configuration files, which are stored in the DI\Solution\webdata\<diveport>\customizations\stamps directory. You can use a stamp portlet to reproduce a version of the stamp with a specified measure.

Using stamps, you can easily create a new version of the portlet without defining each element individually.

The following example shows a collection of 11 traditional portlets.

The stamp portlet defines the entire collection as a dashboard whose design can be instantly reproduced with different measure values applied.

The following example shows eight versions of the same stamp, each displaying data for a different measure.

Nine stamp portlets showing different measure values.

In addition, you can configure the self service feature to allow users to add the stamp to their self service page and apply specified measures to it.
