What Is a Measure?
A measure is a standard that you use to assess your organization's practices. In a Measure Factory DivePort, you view measure definitions in the Measure Dictionary and monitor measure data on pages and dashboards.
Measures have two parts:
- A number value, typically in the form of a ratio or percentage, though it can also be a simple value
- Written information that provides context about what the measure represents and the logic used to generate it
Additionally, each measure is associated with a time period, so that you can compare changes over time. Measures are created from rules, which are transformations applied to raw data in order to make it meaningful.
