Shortcuts Versus Bookmarks

Shortcuts and bookmarks are functionally the same. The main deference is that bookmarks are stored on the you computer, and shortcuts are stored on DiveLine, making it easier to share them amongst users.

When shortcuts are enabled in the portal, any existing bookmarks are migrated to shortcuts, and copied to a shortcuts.sdk file in the user's home directory in the DiveLine project. However, the bookmarks.json file remains on the local computer, allowing you to switch back to using bookmarks.

Requirements for migrating bookmarks to shortcuts

• DiveLine must have a home project

• Every user with bookmarks to migrate must have a home directory in the home project
