KLAS Research released its annual Best in KLAS: Software and Services Report, and I’m thrilled to say that Dimensional Insight was ranked #1 in the healthcare business intelligence/analytics category for a remarkable 7th time in the 10 years that KLAS has given the award in this category.
Not only that, but Dimensional Insight also received “A” grades in six categories that KLAS grades vendors on – culture, loyalty, operations, product, relationship, and value. Why is all of this important? Here are a few reasons.
- Best in KLAS is a true “voice of the customer” report
Many analyst reports grade and rate technology, but few are based solely on customer feedback. Unfortunately, those reports are often popularity contests, and are based on numbers like revenue and VC funding, as well as the firm’s financial relationship with the vendor – not on which product best meets customer needs.
The Best in KLAS report, however, is based solely on customer feedback. KLAS researchers ask survey respondents 20 questions about their experience with healthcare business intelligence and analytics solutions. These questions include topics such as “Overall Satisfaction,” “Part of Long-Term Plans,” and “Delivery of New Technology.” These category scores are added up and then translated into an overall score between 0 and 100. This year, Dimensional Insight received a score of 93.4, which is its highest score ever in a Best in KLAS report, and 5.0 points higher than the closest competitor.
- Consistency is the key to customer success
Over the 10 years that KLAS has given out the Best in KLAS award in healthcare business intelligence/analytics, Dimensional Insight has been ranked #1 for 7 of those years (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015/16, 2019, 2020). That is a track record of consistency that is unmatched in the category.
Even in the years when Dimensional Insight didn’t win Best in KLAS, we were 0.7 of a point behind one year, and just 0.1 of a point behind for two of those years.
For our customers, this consistency in product development, support, and relationship has directly led to improved outcomes. In fact, Dimensional Insight consistently is tops in analytics vendors in terms of outcomes improvement.
- The big-brand vendors aren’t always the best
Sure, we’ll admit it – we don’t have an outsized budget or an outsized ego. We’ve never taken venture capital funding – or even a loan on our business. That’s because our focus is on our employees and our customers, not any outside forces.
That means that yes, we might not be as well-known as many of the other vendors in the healthcare business intelligence/analytics category. But you should get to know us. Why? Because of that relentless focus on customer results. The Best in KLAS honor (seven times over!) is an indicator to us that our customer-centric values are the right values to focus on, and they should be an indicator to you that our company will always work on your behalf to get the results that make a difference. That’s something you won’t get from companies that are focused on shareholder returns and making a big name for themselves.
