2016 is quickly (too quickly!) wrapping to a close, but we are already hard at work on 2017 plans. There are a lot of exciting things happening here at Dimensional Insight that we are looking forward to unveiling in the New Year.

As manager of this blog, every year I take a look back at our blog posts that performed well (as well as those that didn’t perform as well) to see what resonates most with our readers. From our top blog posts this year, our blog readers clearly like practical tips to help them better visualize their data. You can definitely expect more of that in 2017! Wondering what was tops on our blog this year? Here’s our list of the Top 5 blog posts published in 2016.

1. A Cool Tool for Experimenting with Dashboard and Portal Color Schemes

After analyzing a set of data from Beverage Marketing Corporation, we found that Democrats are 44% more likely than Republicans to drink wine and Republicans are 13% more likely than Democrats to drink beer. This was an incredibly fun blog post to research and write, and we hope to write more of these data-centered posts in 2017.
