NorthBay Healthcare selects Dimensional Insight as enterprise business intelligence vendor to support dashboard, reporting and analytical needs for organizational users and management.

Dimensional Insight recently announced that NorthBay Healthcare of Fairfield, California has selected The Diver Solution™ — an end-to-end dashboard, reporting and analytics suite for hospitals — to successfully integrate data from disparate health information systems (HIS) and applications in order to closely monitor operational, clinical, and financial performance. In addition to solving data integration challenges, the solution will also provide NorthBay with the ability to view and analyze fifteen different key performance indicators in a dashboard environment allowing senior management to make informed decisions with timely access to operational business critical metrics. NorthBay will address KPIs for clinical and financial reporting initiatives in a second project phase.

For the past few years NorthBay’s focus had been on implementing and deploying world-class health information systems including Cerner (NASDAQ: CERN), Lawson (NASDAQ:LWSN), Keane (NASDAQ: KEA), Midas+ (NYSE: ACS), and Kronos to support the day-to-day information processing needs of the organization. With hundreds of systems, applications, and modules now in place and the system’s EMR project entering its final stages NorthBay’s CIO, Paul Alcala, began the search for a business intelligence tool capable of providing the organization with cost effective, rapid access to this information. “Merging all this information together to provide users with a single tool for analysis and reporting is really a challenge,” explains Alcala. “By taking our data out of these different systems we can integrate clinical, administrative, operational and financial information together and present it back to users with a consistent look and feel.”
