Job Scheduling

Transformation and delivery of information to the enterprise can be configured and executed in a system scheduler, as seen below. Updates can be scheduled to occur at regular intervals, depending on your needs (hourly, daily, weekly, or longer), and can also be triggered by data thresholds and business rules.

Dimensional Insight also offers an automated scheduling and publishing feature for both pre-built and ad-hoc reports. In this case, users are sent reports via email based on the refreshed source data. When the data marts are refreshed, the new information dictates who should receive certain reports based on pre-defined thresholds. For example, sales managers can be alerted when an account manager's sales are 50% less than target, distributors alerted automatically when inventory falls below a threshold, or an executive alerted when key performance indicators are inaccurate. Dimensional Insight's Broadcast feature can be employed to perform event notification, filtering, and calendar-based notifications.

Batch print jobs can also be set-up to run based on new Model updates. A rules-based engine can be programmed to generate reports based on thresholds and exceptions.
